Analysing Dynamic Function Scheduling Decisions
Function allocation, as a process used in the construction of dependable complex systems, is growing in significance. It involves a documented and rational process for deciding what aspects of the system should be controlled by which human roles in the system and how the system should be automated to support these roles more effectively. As computer systems have become more advanced and the con...

Preemptive Scheduling of Periodic Tasks on Multiprocessor: Dynamic Algorithms and Their Performance
In this paper, the problem of preemptively scheduling a set of periodic tasks on a multiprocessor is considered. Three dynamic algorithms are proposed, and their performance is studied. These algorithms are Rate-Monotonic-NextFit-WC (RMNF-WC), Rate-Monotonic-First-Fit-WC (RMFF-WC), and RateMonotonic-Best-Fit-WC (RMBF-WC), and their worst-case performance is shown to be tightly bounded by 2.88, ...
متن کاملContainer Terminals : Scheduling Decisions , their Formulation and Solutions
The growths of containerization and transporting goods in containers have created many problems for ports. In this paper, we systematically survey a literature over problems in container terminals. The operations that take place in container terminals are described and then the problems are classified into five scheduling decisions. For each of the decisions, on overview of the literature is pr...
